Knowledge about other cultures, their economy, geography and history is of great importance in our increasingly globalised world. It is essential for successful cooperation between companies, business and politics, authorities and organisations. Cultural differences must be understood and communicated. The aim is to train academics for practice and research in an interdisciplinary way who understand cultures and their languages so well that they can be applied as country experts: Wherever communication is involved.

 

The double Master's programme is offered in German and in cooperation with the University of Passau, where a semester abroad must be completed.
